[] Aftermath: Life Debt
Trade Paperback Novel by Chuck Wendig
Del Rey ( [US] )

This story occurs between 4 and 5 years after Episode IV: A New Hope:
The galaxy is changing, and with peace now a possibility, some dare to imagine new beginnings and new destinies. For Han Solo, that means settling his last outstanding debt, by helping Chewbacca liberate the Wookiee’s home world of Kashyyyk.
Meanwhile, Norra Wexley and her band of rebels pursue Admiral Rae Sloane and the remaining Imperial leadership across the galaxy. Sloane, increasingly wary of the mysterious fleet admiral, desperately searches for a means to save the crumbling Empire from oblivion. Even as Imperial forces fight to regain lost ground, Princess Leia and the New Republic seek to broker a lasting peace.
But the rebel’s hunt for Admiral Sloane is cut short after the disappearance of Han Solo and Chewbacca. Desperate to save them, Leia conscripts Norra, Sinjir, Jas, and the rest of their team to find the missing smugglers and help them in their fight for freedom.

The story itself is also really interesting, even if most of it is predictable [...] it still worked well enough within this old universe [...] handling so many main characters without singling anyone out as the main protagonist is still a tremendous achievement. But this has one consequence, the book is quite long for a Star Wars book, clocking in at more than 500 pages, not that I am complaining, I liked most of it, but the build up and the finale are my favorite parts....read full review

[] Aftermath: Empire's End enters best sellers lists

Aftermath: Empire's End, the final book in Chuck Wendig's post-Return of the Jedi trilogy, is officially a best seller. It has entered The New York Times Best Sellers (Hardcover Fiction) at #3; while on Publishers Weekly's Bestsellers (Hardcover Fiction) it entered at #4; and on USA Today's Best-Selling Books it debuts at #13.

It should be noted that the apparent disparity between chart positions is due to the fact that both New York Times's and Publishers Weekly's charts are for hardcover sales only, while USA Today's chart combines sales across all formats (hardcover, paperback, electronic).

Congratulations to Chuck as now all three of his Aftermath titles are now best sellers.

[Available now...] [] Join the Resistance
Children's Hardback Book by Ben Acker, Ben Blacker & Annie Wu
Disney-Lucasfilm Press ( [US] )

Mattis Banz knows that he's meant to be a hero of the galaxy like the legendary Luke Skywalker, and when General Leia Organa's Resistance recruits him to join its efforts against the evil First Order, he finally has a chance to fulfill his destiny. But the rest of his squadron doesn't seem very promising. Sure, there's the Zeltron girl Lorica, famous for her exploits foiling evil smugglers, but there's also the swamp boy named Dec, who seems to enjoy causing trouble; Dec's "brother," a droid who thinks he's a pilot; Sari, whose imposing size contradicts her sweet nature; and Jo, the stuffy group leader with secrets. How is Mattis supposed to be the next Poe Dameron when he and his squad mates spend more time in trouble than flying X-wings? The team will have to learn how to work together when the going gets tough, or they won't be going anywhere.
