child, will I like it? Well, the books are simplistic and naive, but
not childish, so only based on that I would suggest to give them a
try. If additionally you are a big Rebels fan, than this series does
have enough of connective tissue to even call it a must read. One
book goes even quite far into one of the main mysteries of the first
And besides, they are short and fun reads. If they end up
not to your liking, you won't waste much time or money on them.
Now onto the impressions:
Considering, this is just a short
prelude to a series of children books it was a pleasant and quick
read. I have to admit I was rather surprised by a mostly
uncompromising portrayal of the Imperials, as they seemed truly
ruthless and evil.
The story itself is merely a jumping of point
for the next books. This is no Huckleberry Finn, but if you happen
to have it, it is nice read about brother and sister, who are about
to embark on what will surely turn out to be a heroic rescue mission
