Synopsis:
Emperor Palpatine's twenty-year reign of terror came
to an abrupt and fiery end in the skies above the forest
moon of Endor. A decisive victory for the Rebel
Alliance, to be sure, but even with the loss of its
leadership, the Empire's Moffs and regional governors
retained their hold on important systems from the Core
to the Outer Rim, thanks to the might of the Imperial
Starfleet. Now, with a power vacuum atop the Empire,
those Moffs will jockey for position and control, and
the heroes of the Rebel Alliance will soon discover that
a wounded and fractious Empire may be more dangerous
than any threat they faced before! |

Marvel
started out very impressive, most impressive. Shattered Empire is
one such example, where almost all tones are hit right. The art is
amazing! The space battles are beautifull, the action seems dynamic,
all the movements are recocgnizable and the characters look close
enough to the actors to be believable. And I only just described the
visual side, on the story side we have good dialogue, a glimpse into
the overall political situation in the galaxy directly after the
battle of Endor and a few great archs, cameos and some pretty
curious foreshadowing Lately there have been rumblings about a
certain tree. I wonder where that tree is coming from, hmm? This
is definetly the best volume Marvel has put out. I loved it,
becaused it had everything in it...
