Synopsis:
The natives of the planet Shu-Torun are revolting.
And there's no way the Empire will stand for that. Darth
Vader is tasked with leading a military assault against
Shu-Torun! Could it be that his rise to glory has begun?
But who will follow Vader into war? Would you? Then
again, it's better to fight alongside Vader than against
him. That's a lesson that the Ore Barons are about to
learn... |

Darth
Vader Annual #1: "Darth Vader Annual is an interesting one-shot
that showcases the essence of Gillen's run to date: Vader's
ruthlessness and cuning in dealing with the Emperor's enemies. The
art is great, the story interesting if not truly innovative and the
evil droids are evil. Worth every penny!"

The
Shu-torun War: "As always the art was wonderful, but the story
itself was what I consider a filler. The best that came out of this
issue, is yet another of Cylo’s abominations gone… these guys were
not a good idea to begin with and I cannot wait till every one of
them is wiped out of the new canon. At least this one promises an
interesting finale."
