It is a time of war, when the fledgling Rebel Alliance dared to fight back against the evil oppressive Empire. A holocron secreted within the ruins of a Jedi Temple of Dantooine contains a list of crucial high-level Alliance sympathizers. This list is missing, and should it fall into the wrong hands, it could spell doom for the Rebellion.
Dusque Mistflier may say she's an Imperial bio-engineer, but in truth, she's an undercover Rebel operative. She has teamed with Alliance spy Finn Darktrin to recover the missing holocron. In their perilous quest, they receive help from the heroes of the Rebellion: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa. These two operatives will be tested to their limits in the Galactic Civil War, where they'll learn that the hardest part is figuring out whose side you're on... and how far you're willing to go to win.

This story occurs approximately one year after the Battle of Yavin.

Review by Alex Koss, US, 2014:

"I played Star Wars Galaxies for about two days and got tired of it. That didn't leave much hope for this book. The computer screenshot for the cover didn't help much. But I was surprised. This book was better than it had any right to be. This book, like most of the EU books that don't feature the Main 3, before ROTJ is inconsequential. There is a weak game of cat and mouse. A chase that doesn't at all seem to be important, and stock forgettable characters. That is the bad.
"Now, the good. The main characters are added; Han, Leia, Luke, Lando, C-3P0, Darth Vader. All in there. But used sparingly and relatively well. They don't overstay their welcome and don't steal the scene from the two main characters.
"I have seen them used a lot worse numerous times. The story itself is well paced. I didn't feel like any of it dragged, although none of it was terribly exciting. Besides the pacing the detailed descriptions of the creatures, which really works since the main character is a bio-engineer, or something along those lines, is a nice touch. And the sprinkled inclusion of known and loved characters helps get to the end. It all makes this a perfectly average book, with ties to Star Wars."

Review by David White, USA, 2009:

"Perhaps the single worst Star Wars book written to date. I never played the game "Galaxies", so maybe there are all sorts of insider plot points I missed. The characters were wooden and forgettable. The plot was pointless and boring. Reading the book was a chore. I've yet to read any reference to this book or characters in any other book. Total waste of time. Can not think of anything positive to say, no matter how hard I try."
